Fence Repair & Installation in Colorado Springs — Fence Repair in Colorado Springs

Fence Repair in Colorado Springs

Fence repair is most of what the wind and the snow ask of a fence line. A fence company that only wants to sell a new fence will miss the jobs where five boards and two posts would have put it back. We repair wood, chain-link, vinyl, and farm fences, from one broken gate to a whole run that went down in a storm.

How to tell a fence needs repair

The signs depend on the material. Vinyl gets brittle and starts to lean. Chain-link posts bend, and the fabric sags between them. Wood shows the most: leaning posts, panels pulling off the posts, split boards, and warp. Sometimes it is obvious. The fence is on the ground after a windstorm, a car found it, or the dog is no longer staying in. Tell us what you see. We have repaired those same failures across Colorado Springs.

Wind and snow damage

Spring and fall wind pushes on long privacy fences. Winter snow piles against panels and gates. The usual result is a leaning section, a snapped post, or a gate that will not latch. We reset and replace posts, swap broken boards and panels, and rehang sagging gates so the line is straight again. If a storm just took part of the fence down, call us and we will get it secured. Our after-winter fence repair notes and winter fence guide cover what to look for before you call.

Repair or replace

The posts tell us most of what we need to know. If they are solid and set firmly, repair is almost always the better value, even when several boards or a panel are damaged. If posts are rotted at the ground or leaning along most of the run, patching buys a short time and a new fence usually makes more sense. We show you what we find and give you both options in the free estimate. The longer version of that choice is our guide to fence repair or replacement.

Waiting does not make a leaning fence cheaper. The sooner the posts are reset, the less of the run gets pulled out of line. That is why the estimate is free. Looking at it does not commit you to the work. Bring us the side that failed, and we will also glance down the rest of the line so a second weak post is not a surprise after we leave.

Fence Repair & Installation in Colorado Springs — Fence Installation in Colorado Springs

Fence Installation in Colorado Springs

Fence installation is for a line that is missing, or for one that is too far gone to repair. We install fences on homes, businesses, and farms in Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. You will know the layout, the gates, and the material before we start, because that is what the free estimate is for.

Materials we install

The material should match the job and the wind on that side of the lot. We talk through these on site:

  • Wood privacy fences. The usual backyard fence. Affordable, and easy to repair one board at a time.
  • Chain-link. A straightforward way to enclose a yard, pets, or a commercial lot.
  • Vinyl. Higher cost up front, very little upkeep, and no staining.
  • Aluminum. A lighter ornamental look for front yards.
  • Farm and ranch fencing. For larger properties and animals.

On open, windy lots we plan post spacing and gate placement with the wind in mind. That is what decides whether a privacy fence stays straight. Read choosing a fence material for wind and sun before you settle on a style. Wood and chain-link are the more affordable installs. Vinyl and aluminum cost more at the start and ask less of you later. We do not publish a price per foot, because length, gates, grade, and access change the job.

Residential, commercial, and farm fences

A backyard privacy fence, a commercial enclosure, and a farm line are different layouts, and we build all three. The post size, the gate hardware, and how the fence turns a corner all change with that use. Before a new fence goes in, confirm your property line and any HOA rules on height, style, or color. We will plan the posts and the gates around those limits with you. We do not set a fence on a line you have not confirmed.

Old fence comes out as part of a replacement. We tear it down and haul the debris away so you are not left with a pile of posts. You do not need another company for that part of the job.

Gates and the ground line

Gates fail before the rest of the fence because they move. Hinges sag, latches miss, and the post on the hinge side leans. We rehang gates on repair jobs and we set new gates where you actually walk: the side yard, the alley, and the spot the mower needs. A gate in the wrong place means a path worn through the beds.

Posts rot at the ground, not at the top. That is the spot we dig to on every repair. If the concrete collar is intact and the wood above it is soft, the post still has to come out. Setting a new post in the same hole, with the fence pulled back to line, is ordinary repair work. On a new install we set posts for the wind on that exposure, not on a spacing copied from a calmer lot.

When to get fence repair done

Call when you first see a lean, a gate that drags, or boards on the ground. The free estimate is there so you are not guessing whether it is one post or the whole side. Fixing a short section now keeps the next post from being pulled over in the following wind. Fall is a practical time, before snow loads the panels. After a storm, call and we will look at what came down. We would rather reset two posts this month than rebuild the run in the spring.

Fence Repair & Installation in Colorado Springs — Finish the Yard Around the Fence

Finish the Yard Around the Fence

A new fence is often the edge of a bigger yard project. Beds along the fence line belong with landscaping services in Colorado Springs. A deck inside the new fence is our deck and pergola work. If the fence line is also where water sits, look at drainage before we set posts in a wet trench. Our fence guides cover seasonal timing, winter care, and the repair-or-replace choice.

Fence Repair & Installation in Colorado Springs — Fence Repair and Installation Questions

Fence Repair and Installation Questions

Do you repair fences in Colorado Springs, or only install new ones?

Both. Fence repair covers a leaning post, a broken gate, or a storm-damaged run. Fence installation covers new residential, commercial, and farm fences.

Should I repair my fence or replace it?

Solid posts usually mean repair. Rotted or leaning posts along the run usually mean replacement. We look at the posts first and price both when both are reasonable. See repair or replacement.

What fence materials do you install?

Wood, chain-link, vinyl, and aluminum, plus farm fencing. We choose with you based on privacy, wind, and how you will use the line.

Can you fix wind and snow damage?

Yes. We reset or replace posts, replace panels and boards, and rehang gates. Wind and snow are the most common repair calls we get.

Do you remove the old fence?

Yes. Tear-out and haul-away are part of a replacement. You do not hire a separate crew for the old fence.

Do you work on homes, businesses, and farms?

Yes. Confirm the property line and any HOA rules before we lay it out. We plan gates and height around those.

Do you give free fence estimates?

Yes. Call 719-572-1768 or request a quote. We walk the fence line and price the work before anything starts.
